A. Characteristics. Firms servicing passenger vehicles, light and medium trucks and other consumer motor vehicles such as motorcycles, boats and recreational vehicles. The customer does not wait at the site while the service or repair is being performed, and repairs take several days or longer to complete.

B. Accessory Uses. Accessory uses may include offices, sales of parts, and vehicle storage.

C. Examples. Examples include major vehicle repair and diagnostics, transmission shop, engine repair/rebuilding facilities, auto body shop, and other major repair services.

D. Exceptions. Repair and service of industrial vehicles and equipment, and of heavy trucks; towing and vehicle storage; and vehicle wrecking and salvage are classified as Industrial Service. (Ord. 4-2020 § 1 (Att. A). Formerly 710.260)
