The City Council may, at their sole discretion, designate or eliminate the designation, for permit parking on any roadway segment, portion of a roadway, or other right of way or property. Segments established by the City Council shall be adopted by Resolution, and permits acquired at the fee established by the City Council by Resolution.

A. The City Manager shall cause signs to be erected to designate the location of any permit parking area designated by the City Council.

B. A permit shall be issued upon application and payment of the permit fee only to the owner or the operator of a motor vehicle. Only one permit may be issued per registered vehicle.

C. Permits shall be valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance. Permits shall not be transferable, and should a permitted vehicle be sold, the permit therefore shall be forfeited to the City, and a new permit issued for the remainder of the permit period in effect at the time of the sale.

D. Permits shall be affixed to the left rear bumper of the permitted vehicle.

E. Permits are only applicable for the area identified in the permit, and holders of the permit are not entitled to park in any manner in violation of parking requirements.

F. Permit parking areas are not subject to the time restrictions contained in 10.08.070 of this code.

G. Should parking by a permit holder cause damage to public facilities, the permit holder will be responsible for repair or the cost of repair for damage, beyond normal wear and tear,

H. Parking in a permit area without a permit shall be a violation. (Ord. 3-2012, 2012.)
